Support access

Sometimes the fastest way for our team to help is to see exactly what you see. CloudOptify support access lets a support engineer view your organization’s data for a limited window — only after you approve it. No one is ever added to your account, no seat is consumed, and every request is fully audited.

  1. Support requests access. A CloudOptify support engineer sends a request that names the reason, the access level, and how long the window would last. Nothing is granted yet.
  2. You’re notified. Your organization owner and admins receive an email — “CloudOptify support is requesting access to your account” — and an in-app request appears under Settings → Support Access Requests (the Settings menu item shows a badge).
  3. You approve or decline. Open Settings, review the details, and choose Approve or Decline. Access only begins when you approve, and the time window starts from that moment.
  4. Everyone is confirmed. The support engineer is notified that you approved, and you (and the account owner) receive a confirmation email recording who approved it and when.
  5. It ends automatically. Access expires on its own at the end of the window. You can revoke it earlier at any time.

The organization owner and any admin can approve or decline a request. For individual (non-enterprise) accounts, the account holder approves their own requests. Contributors and readers cannot approve support access.

Level What support can do
Read-only (default) View your dashboards, costs, findings, and reports. No changes are possible — write actions are blocked automatically.
Read & write Everything above, plus make changes on your behalf. Only granted when you explicitly approve this level.

Go to Settings → Support Access to see any active support session — the engineer, the access level, the reason, and when it expires. Click Revoke to end it immediately.

  • Consent-first. A request does nothing until you approve it; unapproved requests simply expire.
  • Scoped to your org. An approved grant only works for your organization — it can never be used to reach another customer’s data.
  • Read-only means read-only. Under a read-only session, any attempt to change data is rejected before it reaches your account.
  • Time-boxed. Access ends automatically at the end of the approved window.
  • Revocable & audited. You can revoke at any time, and every request, approval, and use is recorded.
