Cost Comparison
Cost Comparison puts any two periods side by side — and explains the difference.
Choosing periods
Section titled “Choosing periods”Use a one-click preset or define your own:
- This month vs last month (default)
- Last month vs the month before
- Quarter vs last quarter · Year vs last year
- Last 30/90 days vs the prior 30/90 days
- Same month last year
- Custom — pick both ranges yourself
The page shows Period A and Period B totals, the absolute change, and the percentage change.
Top cost drivers
Section titled “Top cost drivers”The drivers row ranks the services and accounts with the largest change between the two periods — increases and decreases — so the “why” is immediately visible, with per-driver amounts and percentages.
Drill-down table
Section titled “Drill-down table”Below the drivers, the full breakdown table supports:
- By Service / By Account tabs
- Provider filter (All / Azure / AWS)
- Change filters: all changes, increases only, decreases only, new items, dropped items
- Search and sorting (e.g. biggest change first)
Export
Section titled “Export”Both CSV and PDF export reproduce the comparison for sharing — see Exports.
