FinOps recommendations
Beyond point-in-time waste, the FinOps page recommends the structural moves that lower your baseline — each one ranked by estimated monthly savings.
Recommendation categories
Section titled “Recommendation categories”- Rightsizing — resources demonstrably larger than their workload, with a suggested target size. Suggestions are verified against observed utilization collected from your clouds’ monitoring data, not name-based guessing.
- Commitments — where reservations or savings plans would beat on-demand pricing based on your steady-state usage.
- Lifecycle — cleanup opportunities such as aging snapshots and storage that could move to a cheaper tier.
Reading a recommendation
Section titled “Reading a recommendation”Each card shows the resource and account, the category, a confidence level, and the estimated monthly saving. Sort by savings to build a top-down action plan.
Acting on recommendations
Section titled “Acting on recommendations”CloudOptify is read-only by design — it never changes your cloud. Recommendations tell you exactly what to change; your team applies the change in Azure/AWS, and the next scan confirms the result (the finding resolves and savings show up in the trend).
